The Emir organised the procession to commemorate the Maulid of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, in what marked the first time in the history of the Kano Emirate that such a Maulid procession was held across the city.
During the procession, the Emir passed through several areas, including Jakara, Yan Gurasa, Jakara Police, Jakara Dubai, Kwanar Goda, Marmara, Mandawari and Soran Dinki, where thousands of residents gathered along the routes to welcome and pay homage to him.

The procession attracted hundreds of Islamic scholars, clerics, youths, women, men and elderly people who came out to express their happiness and show respect to the Emir. Among the prominent scholars who attended were Sayyadi Usman of Yan Mota and Alhaji Rufai of Jakara.
Large crowds gathered along the various routes visited by the Emir, while members of the Kano Emirate Council and other senior officials of the palace also participated in the procession.
